The Memo Boards

So awhile ago the kids painted some pretty sweet photos on pre drawn canvas.  Obviously they didn't do them like pros {weird I know since they are 5, 6 & 8 you would think they would be able to do these intricate paintings!}  Anyways, they had fun painting & never thought about them again as they sat in the closet.  I have been wanting to cover them with batting & fabric for some cute Memo Boards for awhile now... and finally today - I just. did. it.  Go Me.

Weekend RePlay

Friday was a late & lame kick off to the weekend being that Mr. L had to work late.  Of course that gave me time to catch up on some sewing projects!  Saturday we went over and browsed the mall after Mr. L & Cody went for a 2 plus mile run!  {What!}  They are crazy.  I am pretty sure I don't have it in me.  maybe?

Saturday we let the kids have a movie night & us too!  Sunday I whipped out not 5 - but 6 bunnies.  Yea.  They were the final five.  I said I wouldn't do more.  I can't be stopped.  Help.  I gave in anything to please a couple more of my amazing customers.  I agreed to do TWO more.  And that's it.  This time for real.  No really.  {I am out of eyes.  Psst. They are on order!}  You can still get a bunny, but after Easter.
Busy weekend leading into an even busier week.  Lots of orders to get done & with all the littles home {Yep, its track out time - again}  things will be crazzy at the L House.  That we can count on.

*These bunnies are made with a bit of whimsy doll pattern.  Thanks*

Blessed Mama Designs {A Review}

Courtney Steele is the owner of a brand new shop, Blessed Mama Designs.  I am excited to host a giveaway here on the blog to kick off her new shop!  Help her gain some fans & spread the word about another mom shop!  They are the best.  She has three girls, two twins & a 4 month old.  She is obviously blessed ... & busy.

Its always fun to review - especially when it pleases my lil' Emma.  I got extra hugs out of this box of goodies today! And why wouldn't I?  The clippies are all so bright! Pink! And Pretty. Everything a lil' girl would love!  Am I right?  {Yay!} Emma picked the green polk a dot ones as her favorite.  It surprised me a bit!  But she declared that she L O V E S them all.

  Things I am loving - they are on the alligator clips.  We <3 Alligator Clippies here.  No getting stuck in the hair!  The Korkers are fluffy & full!  No one wants a limp Korker.  Seriously.  The speed of Courtney is amazing.
Quality. Check.  Timely. Check. <3 it.

You know you want to get your hands on some of these clippies.  "Like" her on Facebook.  Find her ready to ship items on Etsy. *And enter below to win a surprise set of clippies from her shop FREE

Weekend RePlay

Saturday was St. Patricks Day!  And Finally we had a warm & nice weekend.  We did the trail & library on Saturday this weekend thinking that it might rain Sunday.  {I am not sure it really did.}

Sunday Mr. L got the lawn mowed - and our neighbors too.  We took care of it being that they have been in Iraq for the last 2 months.  The bees have been bad here.  It had to be cut.  I made 5 bunnies this weekend & made these flip flops for Ari {my sisters girl!}  Perhaps I should get around to shipping them & the goodies I got for Ezra!  Eeek.  They are coming to visit mid April!  Can't wait to see that lil' guy!

Seems it was another productive weekend.  Bunnies just keep hopping off my machine.  Forty-Seven so far this Easter season!  Yikes.

Flip Flop Re-Vamp

I was browsing around themotherhuddle.com there are some ah-ma-zing tuts over there.  So many I want to try.  So little time.  So I loved what I saw with these flip flops.  Thought that I would give it a go with a pair of Emmas that bug her feet.  She HATES when they have that elastic on the back.  Rubs her foot wrong I guess & I don't blame her one bit.

Honestly didn't think I would get around to doing this one.  But.  I did.  Today I proclaimed it my day off.  I have cleaned the bathrooms & yes, I was getting the itch to sew.  I knew I couldn't go an entire day without sewing.  Ha.  But at least it was something for Miss Emma. Right?

I changed it up a bit from the tut - but the same basic idea.  A flip flop with ruffles.  {Yay!}

Yeah, the flip flops are old.  This was about a 20 minute project - I am totally making another pair for Ems with a NEW pair too! {guess I have to shop. darn.}  Oh and then not five minutes after completing these my pricey reef flip flops - broke.  That's what I get for spending $29.99 not $2.50 at old navy.  That'll teach me.

Wanna make your own?  Check out the tut over at themotherhuddle.com!  Click the photo!
