What I Wore Wednesday {da pugs yearly checkup}

Today has the potential to make me sweat. Panic. Get super angry. Feel bad. Or da pug will just be good. The vet will just do what she has to do & bot be a baby about it.  Da pug does not take kindly to being muzzled - as if he has a nose to muzzle.  Last year they drew out the process so ridiculously that we ended up having to put the cone on him just so that they could draw blood from him without him eating there arm off. He can be very ferocious.  So here's hoping...

Weekend RePlay {Baseball - Baseball & First Weekend On The Market}

Our realtor had high hopes wishful thinking, that we would have a showing this weekend.  We sure did!  We had two set up for Sunday evening!  After cleaning up the house and heading out {with the pug in tow} to baseball we got a text saying the first one was canceled!  Bummer.  The second one was till 5:30 so we went out to dinner with our baseball friends.  FUN!  Then I realized with my handy dandy app on my phone, for the alarm system I could see if & when someone entered & left my home!  Genius. --  Ugh.  What a let down.  The potential homeowners today only stayed for 5 minutes.  Could they even see the whole house in that amount of time?   We checked back in the system and saw the ones on Thursday actually stayed for 30 minutes.

Busy weekend.  I am tired.  Still managed to squeeze in time to stitch up 18 teeny tiny monsters.  Tomorrow they will be stuffed and on there way to Canada.   Excited to see what the week will bring for house viewings.  You guys.  I am home with three kids & a dog all week.  Mr. L has work lined up for almost everyday!  Oh!  And Jacks Birthday is in TWO days!  {I haven't bought him a thing!!!!}

What I Wore Wednesday

 Spring is in the air. Yeah, so its only in the50s & 60s right now. But I broke the flip flops out last weekend & I haven't stopped wearing them. It was a little chilly at the bus stop this morning - but now that the sun is shining it feels amazing. Almost refreshing. And we have to take advantage of this. Springs doesn't last here in NC - we go from winter to HOT.  For reals.  So I am late today with my post.  I have been cutting, sewing & all that good fun stuff all morning over here.  Yep.  I am freaking out with a workload of 20 orders ahead of me.  Yikes.  I love it.  Creating for you is what keeps this business growing... I am not complaining.  Hey!  Did you see the new pattern up in the shop?  Hmm.  A super doll.  Its down right cute & our fab testers had so much fun creating with it.  Let us know if you purchase & give it a try.  We would love to feature your work. Super Mom

I have been asked so many times... "How do you do it?"  "When do you have the time?"  So to save time a blog post should do the trick, then I can cut & paste one simple link. 

Time management is so necessary for me.  I try to stay on top of simple chores.  While dusting the shelves does get pushed aside from week to week.  Opps.   My kids are fed, my orders are filled & the bills are paid.  Honestly more can you ask for? ha.

So here is my "typical" weekday...

7:20 am - wake up 
7:30 am - dressed & ready for the day 
7:50 am - kids are all fed & dishwasher unloaded & reloaded 
8:00 am - make coffee 
8:15 am - emails checked, facebook page checked, coffee almost gone. 
8:20 am - out the door with the three littles. 
8:40 am - back from getting the littles off to school. 
9:00 am - shipping labels & figure the orders that need to be done. 
10:00 am - lunch {YES! I eat lunch for breakfast!} 
10:30 am - run the washer & dryer.  Take the pug for a walk.
10:30 am - 1 pm SEW LIKE A CRAZY PERSON!!!!! 
1:00 pm - ship out more orders that are complete. 
1:10 pm - fold laundry. 1:45 pm - put away laundry & hopefully grab a shower. 
2:00 pm - cup of coffee & relax. {tv. & cutting fabric, is that relaxing??} 
3:00 pm - make lunches for the next day. - prep dinner. 
4:20 pm - out the door to grab the littles. 
5:00 pm - back home with the littles. 
5:30 pm - homework done - 
5:32 pm - food on the table {took 1 hour to cook, 2 minutes to eat!} 
5:34 pm - dishes 
5:50 pm - check in on emails & facebook. 
6:30 pm - teeth. pjs. stories. bed. 
7:30 pm - check in on emails & facebook. 
8:00 pm - dvr with Mr. L. 
9:30 pm - bed. YES. I go to bed at 9:30. eek. - ready to do it all again the next day.

Three years ago I would stay up all night.  For real.  3 am I was still up sewing.  I can't do it.  I won't do it.  I sew till 2pm most days.  Yes.  Sometimes I do some evening sewing, after the littles are in bed.  You know when Mr. L is watching something awful.  - Mainly, Sports.  Ugh.   I do this to keep sane.  Healthy & Happy.  {If Momma ain't happy... ain't nobody happy.}

Perhaps this is all easier now, due to the fact that my littles are all in school from 9 - 4.  No more, "Mommy, can you get me a snack."  
"Mommy, I need you."  
"Mommy, wheres my pink crayon."  
"Mommy, come & wipe my butt now."

17 bazillion times a day.   Yes.  I can't remember how I got anything done with three kids at home.  Oh wait.  I didn't I was up till 3am.  How do you do it?  How do you manage your time?  -  I am super mom.  {Thats my secret to getting things done.  Shhh.}

 

Weekend RePlay: Myrtle Beach

We always love this time of the year when we get to go on our Annual Myrtle Beach weekend trip.   I  love staying on the beach and waking up to see the sunrise over the ocean.  Going out to the Holiday Parade at Broadway at the Beach.  Shopping, Football game in the condo while decorating cookies & drinking wine.  Yumm.  This year we decided to check out the new Pirates Voyage dinner show.  The kids loved it.  Pure joy in their eyes.  The seals were super cute.  We were in the front row.  The food was super tasty & the show was entertaining for sure.    This year we decided to take Monday off & having that extra day again this year was amazing.  It made for a much more relaxing weekend & more time at the pool & the beach.

Sunday:    Back at the hotel.  Love staying oceanfront & the Bayview Resort has a brand new boardwalk - we love it.  The L Family Loves The Beach...

If this isn't a sign of the end... I don't know what is.  First we come across a dead jelly fish.  Right.  No big deal.  We see them beach side all the time.  But not three feet from it ... a dead bird.  Eww.  Then see this sign.  - Tsunami.  For real.  We should leave the beach if there is one.  Hmmm.  Thanks for the warning.

 

Sunday: Lots of pool time & shopping at the outlets.  Dinner out at Johny Rockets & a movie.  Arthurs Elves in 3D.  What fun. 

Monday: After cinnamon buns for breakfast & packing up all our luggage we had to go down to the pool & beach before checking out.  The little's last request.  - 

 

 When we got home - Mr. L & I were happy to find our pug happy & normal.  Success.  After going with Suite Paws in Raleigh last time & having such a terrible experience we weren't sure what to expect with Knightdale Pet Spa.  But Yay!  He was excited to see us.  Ready for a walk on the trail.  And perhaps the best part.  It was only $38.  Amazing.  Will board him there again for sure. 

Weekend RePlay

Saturday The L Family went out to the NC State Fair.  We haven't gone in three years - and we might just wait another 3!  We did see farm animals & eat kettle corn.  Yumm.  We didn't get to see the pig races or the stunt show.  Why?  Because the place is so crowded you just get stuck in people traffic on the midway and cannot get to anything.  Hmmph.

Since all the little's were super bummed we didn't get to see the racing pigs - we let them all get haircuts.  Three haircuts & $33 later!

Sunday we took da pug out on the trail & did the typical library thing.  Then when we got home we gutted & carved our pumpkins!  To bed early.  Its been a long three weeks.  But they have come to an end.  Tracking back in and Momma can't wait! 

 

 Emma and I did a quick and fun little craft.  Check out our "pumpkins" on the table for cute fall decor.  Toilet paper.  Yes.  A roll of toilet paper wrapped in newspaper & then fabric.  Add a  stick in the tub part. And Done.  

Simple. Fun. & Oh So Fall Cute.
