Cute Little Dress

So today I decided to start a cute little simple dress just for my little lady Emma... but realized piping would be good to make a more finished look, so possibly a trip out tomorrow! Buttons and Piping and I am sure other things too! :) I <3 Craft Stores!!!!!!
Here is a photo of the top piece in the works. Going to use a brown pattern that I used to make my bag with for the bottom half with probably some brown piping. Then maybe a pink trim along the bottom to accent it all. Looking forward to finishing this up. I hate leaving things unfinished, because it usually means that
I will never finish them! ha! ha!

Making a "hobo" bag... or at least my attempt at one!

Stitched a small pocket on the inside for cell phone, etc....

Stitching the edge of the handles.

Little Pocket Inside...

After making this simple bag it gave me some ideas of a possible pattern for a baby sling... can you see it? I can so see it. I am going to think about that one and maybe get it done for my aunts baby... End of January! :)

Sad Bunny

So thought I would attempt a bunny for Emma... well she loves it... I HATE it. I guess it is good for my first stuffed project... maybe I was aiming a little high with that one... ugh! Done for today... until tomorrow...

I did it!

I successfully accomplished the bobbin and threading the machine... by the way, this Brother machine is AWESOME... I love my husband for getting me what I wanted (even though it took 7 years... ) and my Grandma would simply fall in love because it is that good compared to her old ones she picks up at random yard sales and always has a time with...

Anyways, I sewed up a little dolly pillow for Emma, and a small "bag" later realized maybe the small doll pillow she has no interest in with all her Christmas presents surrounding her it would make a nice "pin cushion." Also this morning a threw together my own curtain idea... for the kitchen... its a work in progress... but I am satisfied until my next trip to the crafty craft store, Micheals.

The Start of Something GREAT!

Received my very FIRST sewing machine... It all begins here. Time to buy material (cheap stuff to learn with!) and stumble my way through it all...

Follow me in my process of learning to sew... now to thread a machine... :-P
