What I Wore Wednesday {25 Days Till Easter}

Hey Yall! Another week just flew by.  Funny how that works when you are super busy.  We have been busy here with the family, friends & work life.  It's "Birthday Season" again.  I currently have 7 cupcakes and tons of mini cupcakes sitting on my counter from Cody's Birthday on Monday and Emma turns 9 {can't believe it!!!} on Saturday.   I think they are going to be in the trash can soon. Oops.

Um.  Easter is early this year, 25 days till Easter to be exact!  I have a couple of bunnies I am working on today.  I don't have much time to create too many this year.  I am telling you, Easter has snuck up on me, but I wanted to get a few made for you all.

Life is good.  The sun is up, I have a 12 year old now and Spring is coming.  And that means Summer.  I {heart} Summer. For reals.  Oh and Baseball!  First tournament is this weekend.

And here I am this morning, my just rolled out of bed and threw on this outfit look.  No make up, but there is coffee.  Honestly, what more do ya need to start the day off right?

Valentines Day Scrappy Bunting

Busy night last night getting things done and whipped up some bunting from the scraps. ♡  I have a bunch ready to ship in the shop if you need to get into the decorating mode, um, like YESTERDAY.  Hell-o Valentines Day is coming up fast.  And I am loving the glitz bunting.   {Those hearts though.}

I have plans of getting some Spring neutral bunting whipped up soon.  Think photo shoots.  You guys the groundhog did NOT see his shadow.  Bring on Spring.  For reals.  I've already got some St. Patrick's Day bunting done up too.

 If you have a party coming up let me help you decorate. Custom bunting would be adorable.  I can even do the teeny tiny bunting to top your cake.  I love, love, loved how it turned out for my little Miss Emma's 7th Birthday Celebration.  We went all out with a Tea Party Theme and all the pastel, floral, Spring prints.

Geeze. I feel old.

 My oldest is eight now & baby is 5!  I'd like to say "Where did the time go?"  That's what they all say.  But honestly - I cannot.  It feels like at-least 8 years that I have had kids.  Actually feels like my entire life I have had them.  Hard to remember a time before kids!  {Slowly my childhood years are slipping away!}  Blame this on "Mommy Brain" too!

Baking With The Birthday Girl

 Little Miss Emma & I spent some time in the kitchen this afternoon. We made delicious thumbprint cookies.

Heres how we did it:

Preheat oven to 350* F.
Mix 1/2 cup butter, 1/4 cup brown sugar {packed}, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp salt & 1 tsp. vanilla in the mixer till "creamy" add 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour & 2 tbsps milk.
Form into balls - our mixtures was rather "crumbly".  Press thumb {that's the fun part!} And add your favorite jelly.  We used orange marmalade & black-raspberry.  Bake for 10 minutes.

Yields: 20 cookies.

Allow to cool - and dig in.  I dare you to eat just one.

Birthday Season

Eek. Here we are - Closing in on what I like to call Birthday Season.  First we have ButterBeans&ChicPeas.
My fourth child. Er, I mean my business. February 17th she turns two.  Is it weird I just referred to my business as a "she"?
On February 29th My lil' leap year baby, Cody turns eight.  Wow.  I totally have an 8 year old.  Five days later Miss Emma turns FIVE.  {Whats scary is my BABY is FIVE! - How did I allow this whole time thing to happen?}

So three Birthdays in less than a month.  Take a breath.  - But not too long.  April 9th Jack turns seven!   Ten days later Happy Birthday to ME!  & on that same day Happy Anniversary to Mr. L & Myself.  Nine Freakin' years!  Thats somethin'.

Here we go.  Get ready to dive in Momma.  You can do this.  You are supermom - remember?  {That is me mentally prepping myself!} I've got three, whom I kidding 4 cakes to make.  {Like someone else was going to make ME a cake!}  A couple parties to host.  Lots of birthday presents to buy & a giveaway to put up!  Wish me LUCK!

Weekend RePlay {Birthday Edition}

 We woke up Saturday morning.  Well - I got up early.  Finished up orders that needed to be shipped & cleaned the entire house.  I was fearing it was starting to look a little a lot like Grandmas house.  {My Grandma should be on Hoarders.}  Once the house & orders were wrapped up Mr. L came down to check out the fantastic cards the kiddies made for Mr. L.  After that we headed over to the North Hills for the Farmers Market.  The lovely Diane from Twisted Sisters Barkery gave us some tasty treats for the pug.  I think he {LOVES} them.  Yes.  He does.  Sweet Potato.  Pug Yummies.
 The kiddies outside of
Sparians the Bowling Boutique.
 The Winners.  Jack & Emma.

 Back at home we had a giant cookie cake.  Mr. L has been wanting one of these for years.  And.  Yes there is an and.  Brownies. Oh. Yeah.  With Ice Cream.  Super Yumm.
On Sunday I made this belt.  Asked Lil' Jackie Beans to model it for me & then he claimed it.  The price I pay for this super cute model.  He loves it.  Tucks in his shirt just to show it off too.  How fun.  {Psst.}  Want one for your lil' guy or gal too?  You know I can make them for you.  Custom size.  Custom colors.
Stop over and check out the shop. www.BLauzonSews.Etsy.com
Of course on Sunday we also did our typical library trip.  New books.  Free coupons for Mini Golf, Curly Fries & Milk Shakes. Yumm.

Pretty good Birthday Weekend.  I love my Mr. L.

Six & Fifth

Happy Sixth Birthday Jack!
-Jack turned Six & we found out he had "Fifths Disease."  So we don't know if for sure.  I didn't take him to the doctor.
Was NOT willing to pay $75 Urgent Care CoPay - or $150 ER CoPay.
Gotta love insurance.  - {Atleast we have it!!!}
That said the following pictures of the Birthday Boy are rather "Slap Cheeked."

 Friday Miss Emma & I crafted up these cupcakes into a "Treasure Map" for Mr. Jack.  I was pretty satisfied with it... as was Jack.  But I really love how cute the "Treasure Chest" came out.  It is so cute. Right?
We started the day out with a trip to Best Buy.  Jack got to pick out his Wii game.  Guess what he picked.  The 25th Anniversary Edition of Super Mario Bros.  It has all four of the original games.  Old School.
Mr. L & I even played.  How nostalgic.  {And it was cheap for a Mario games.} $29.99
--------------------------------------
At present time... wouldn't you know Nana & Aunt Steph gave music instruments.
Just you wait Aunt Steph.  You will have all kinds of noisy toys in the future.
Yep.  My little sister is going to be a Mom & I, an Aunt.
 Blow Out Your Candles
Birthday Boy!
 Can't believe "Jackie Beans" {Which we aren't allowed to call him!} is 6!  He is a smart lil' man.
Despite the Fifth's Disease - Jack had an excellent Birthday.  How could you not?
Cupcakes.  Presents. & Movie&Dinner Out.
