Back To School: 2012-2013

Make It Monday: Texas Toast Pizzas

So, I made these yesterday.  Kept seeing the ads for Pizza Huts new pizzas that were totatally just texas toasts with sauce & pepperonie on them.  I happened to have all the supplies here & thought they would go good with dinner last night.  They were a huge hit with the kids & Mr. L & I thought they were pretty good too.

Heres What You Need:

Texas Toast
Sauce
Mozzarella
Pepperoni

Preheat Oven to 425*.
Put Texas Toast on cookie sheet
 Spoon Sauce onto Texas Toast
Not too much - I don't like soggy bread, do you?
 Add mozzarella
& Pepperoni.
Add some fresh grated garlic if you wish.  I <3 Garlic.  Alot. - Bake at 425* for 10 to 12 minutes.

Eat. Enjoy.   - You can make these.  Make It Monday.

Weekend RePlay

My friday night was looking pretty delicious.  Mr. L even had some.  {It didn't turn him into a Skinny Girl!}  We had pizza out & rented movies!  Perfect night in.  Then I stayed up late to close the auction on my BB&CP page.  Mr. L had his doubts I could stay up that late.  Mainly because by 7pm I had already had a big ole glass of Sangria.  I will admit that I may have taken a brief nap during a movie that Mr. L picked out.  Maybe.

Saturday morning I got up & did shipping labels - a quick stop at the post & we were off for a day at the pool & lunch with friends.  From there grocery shopping & the final items for our Back To School supplies.  Check out the set up.  As the kids called it "Christmas!"  They were pretty excited.  And boy am I glad!

Thats what $146.00 worth of school supplies looks like.  We were able to stay under $200 for three kids.  Pretty good - I think.  We had to get 3 back packs & lunch bags this year.  Last year the boys were able to reuse bags.  They were garbage after two years.  Ripped & Broken Zippers.  Cannot believe I now have all three littles in school.  Oh my.

4 ziploc bags
3 clorox wipes
3 hand sanitizers
3 tissue boxes
2 packages of crayons
1 package of markers
6 glue sticks
2 pencil cases
3 packages of pencils
1 package of erasers
7 composition books
12 folders
2 packages of page protectors
4 packages of loose leaf paper
3 binders
3 packages of expo markers
3 book bags
3 lunch bags
1 rest towel

After a full Saturday Mr. L & I needed a pick me up!  And we just happened to have a free Starbucks drink coupon from his Birthday!  Of course he went way over board.  An iced coffee with 10 shots - Triventi {that doesn't look right, but its the biggest size Starbucks offers, bigger that the venti.}   He was finished.  And all I heard was "blah, blah, blah, this coffee did nothing for me."  ha.  Three hours later he had the jitters.  And couldn't get to sleep.  Woke up sunday morning feeling like he had a hella hangover.  Yep.  10 shots kicked his ass.  - But it was free!  Oh.  It rang up at $11.50.  I wouldn't suggest purchasing it.  But if you have a freebie & feel like having the jitters & a hangover the next day.  Go for it.

Sunday we went to the library, new books & a stop at Starbucks - because nothing beats a "coffee hangover" better than a coffee.

Make It Monday: Faux-breze

Another week of Make It Monday! Who doesn't love Febreze? Hmm. Personally I find it a bit crazy to pay over $4 for a bottle of spray that last about a week. {Maybe longer for you. I am an addict. I spray. Often.}

So of course I am always ready for a cheaper alternative & the knock offs just don't do the trick.  Either the smell is, um, down right awful.  Or they just don't remove the odors.  Speaking of removing odors, Baking Soda.  That stuff is amazing.  I mean I brush my teeth with it.  - I mixed up a concoction - felt like a scientist too.   {or maybe a witch?}  You more than likely have the ingredients needed right in your home.

So Make It Monday is totally do-able this week.  Ready for this?

 Faux-Breze

Here's what you need:
  1. 1/2 a cap full of Favorite Fabric Softener
  2. 2 tbsp of Baking Soda
  3. Spray Bottle {I am reusing my Febreze bottle!!}
  4. Warm Tap Water
That's it.  - Pour ingredients into the spray bottle - add warm tap water till full.  Cover.  Shake.  So simple.  So cheap.  Smells amazing too.

Did you make anything on this fabulous Make It Monday?

Weekend RePlay

Somehow this weekend seemed longer then normal. I'll take it. We had a full day of fun on Saturday! Shopping at the Outlet Shops & Red Lobster for dinner to celebrate Mr. L's Birthday. The Big 3-0! Then we finished the night off with a nice puke-fest from Cody. Not sure what that was about. Puked. Immediately felt fine. Went to bed & woke up perfect. hmm.

Sunday we chilled at home until Cody finally got his tooth out that has been loose for 8 months.  Woot.  Then we went out to the hair salon.  The boys were in dire need of cuts before school.  Cody's hair was beginning to curl.  Not. Good.  So we got that done & then hit up Rack Room.  Mr. L wanted new shoes for his birthday.  We thought the outlets would have a good deal.  Alas they did not.  Rack Room however had a BOGO 1/2 OFF sale.  So Mr. L was able to get two pairs of Nikes for $110 & Miss Emma and I both got a pair of shoes too.  {You can see mine on Wednesday - in the What I Wore Wednesday post!}   Emma needed some tennis shoes for school - even though I have my doubts she will participate willingly in gym.  Its gonna be Jack all over again with her.  But worse.  She is stubborn like her Momma.  And we love her for it.

So - its Monday & in one week its back to school.  We are almost officially ready.  A few items to purchase from the school supplies list & we are set.  Thursday we find out teachers.  The boys can't wait.  They are so excited to go back.  Yay to that!  I do believe that they are officially bored at home with no baseball to occupy their nights.  Don't worry its coming back soon.  Fall Ball starts in August.

Positiveness

Sometimes something someone just brightens your day with pure positiveness.  I thought I would let you in on my latest day brightener. -

"About 2 years ago, while stalking and gawking at your page, you said something about 'I love all of my ButterBeans&ChicPeas addicts' And I was like awww I wish she was talking about me!!! ...... So the other day you called me a BB&CP addict, I remembered what I thought back then and I was like HEY!! I AM LIVING MY DREAM!!!"

Amazing? Yes.  Sometimes its the littles things.  I have some of the most fun, kind & friendly customers.  You all rock!  But especially my addicts!

Weekend RePlay

After Thursdays nights loss & Cody not feeling well we weren't sure what to expect going into the Weekend for our FINAL Tournament.  Fortunately we had a productive day here at home Friday & Cody was feeling good & pumped for the game.  Wouldn't you know it - it rained & we were worried we may not play - but, they were able to clear the field of water & we won.

After a long drive home Friday night & since it was "Friday the 13th"  we had to squeeze in a Friday the 13th movie night with the littles.  Saturday morning everyone was up bright and early.  On the field at 9am & it was already way too hot out there.  Unfortunately our team lost & was out of the tournament.
Proud of our All Stars none the less.  Cody was on the first ever K'dale All Stars team.
Hopefully we can come back next year & do it again - but better.

Sunday we sat on the couch in attempt to clear our DVR box.  It worked.  - Almost. We are in the 70% remaining now.  Pretty good.  I think.  Also lots of grocery shopping.  We were out of - everything.

Throughout the weekend I was able to wrap up my newest pdf the lined tote.  It has 3 different size options & two options for the Large size.  Its amazing & is now in the early release testing phase - waiting on feedback from clients & then it will hit the shop.  Don't forget that all month of JULY is BOGO FREE {of equal or lesser value} on my PDF patterns.  Happy Shopping & Happy Sewing.
Hope you had a productive & awesome weekend.
