What I Wore Wednesday {The Cats Ass}

My Grandparents traveled through and made a stop at our house for two nights over the weekend. They were able to catch one of Cody's Select games.  Knights vs Youngsville.  We totally won.  It didn't look good with a score of 7-0 but, we pulled it off in the last two innings.  Final score 8-7!  Awesome.
We went home and celebrated with pizza dinner.  My grandma couldn't believe we had such a fabulous shopping center within walking distance of our house {not that we walked}.  We have five restaurants, grocery & pharmacy, as well as some other shoppes in the plaza.  She referred to it all as....  "the cats ass!"  Have you all heard that one?  I mean, I've heard of "the cats meow" or "the bees knees", but never  "the cats ass."  Sorry Grandma.  Well, we totally googled that shit, er, ass, and its a thing.  You guys.  It was popular in the 1920s.  My grandma isn't that old.  Now determined to make it have its comeback.

What I Wore Wednesday {Another House Meeting...}

Another week gone by, another What I Wore Wednesday Link Up!  Its a nice cool refreshing morning after the crazy amount of rain that fell last night.  I love it.  To walk outside and not be slapped in the face with humidity.  Heaven I tell you. Straight up heaven.  Yesterday my sister noticed a position open at the Goodwill here in town, so we went straight over for her to apply in person.  You know we had to do a little shopping while we were there.  I found myself a new skirt.  Perfect length.  Super stretchy.  And still looks new.  Oh & its XXI.  Not that I am a label whore or anything.  {Well I kinda am!}

Coffee in hand & ready to kill this day.  I have a meeting with our contractor this morning, have I mentioned we are having a house built?  Well we are.  And I can't wait, but first we have to get rid of the one we live in.  Um.  Had house showing number twenty something the other day.  Yet again we were second choice for the client that was viewing!  But.  I got my new cabinet in place and I am hoping to get this giant L shaped desk out of here after my vacation.  Maybe even use my childhood dining set while my sister is in the process of moving.  {Not sure how she ended up with that item and not me??}  Yes.  Its Operation Office into Dining Room up in here.  Alright.  Gotta get my littles off to school.  Pack up my sisters littles and get to our meeting.  Another interview for my sister today.  Fingers crossed.  Girl needs a job.

What I Wore Wednesday

 Spring is in the air. Yeah, so its only in the50s & 60s right now. But I broke the flip flops out last weekend & I haven't stopped wearing them. It was a little chilly at the bus stop this morning - but now that the sun is shining it feels amazing. Almost refreshing. And we have to take advantage of this. Springs doesn't last here in NC - we go from winter to HOT.  For reals.  So I am late today with my post.  I have been cutting, sewing & all that good fun stuff all morning over here.  Yep.  I am freaking out with a workload of 20 orders ahead of me.  Yikes.  I love it.  Creating for you is what keeps this business growing... I am not complaining.  Hey!  Did you see the new pattern up in the shop?  Hmm.  A super doll.  Its down right cute & our fab testers had so much fun creating with it.  Let us know if you purchase & give it a try.  We would love to feature your work. Yay!

SUPER DOLL. pdf Pattern. This is not a Finished Product. Make And Sell.

Flip Flop Re-Vamp

I was browsing around themotherhuddle.com there are some ah-ma-zing tuts over there.  So many I want to try.  So little time.  So I loved what I saw with these flip flops.  Thought that I would give it a go with a pair of Emmas that bug her feet.  She HATES when they have that elastic on the back.  Rubs her foot wrong I guess & I don't blame her one bit.

Honestly didn't think I would get around to doing this one.  But.  I did.  Today I proclaimed it my day off.  I have cleaned the bathrooms & yes, I was getting the itch to sew.  I knew I couldn't go an entire day without sewing.  Ha.  But at least it was something for Miss Emma. Right?

I changed it up a bit from the tut - but the same basic idea.  A flip flop with ruffles.  {Yay!}

Yeah, the flip flops are old.  This was about a 20 minute project - I am totally making another pair for Ems with a NEW pair too! {guess I have to shop. darn.}  Oh and then not five minutes after completing these my pricey reef flip flops - broke.  That's what I get for spending $29.99 not $2.50 at old navy.  That'll teach me.

Wanna make your own?  Check out the tut over at themotherhuddle.com!  Click the photo!
