Seems like it wasn't too long ago it was Jacks {First Day of School} though at the same time, I cannot remember it just being Cody I sent off to school.  Hmmm.   Just Crazy.  Isn't It?

Weekend RePlay

 Saturday - After a super late night out to the drive ins to see Cars 2 & Green Lantern I had work to do & packages to ship.  

 Excited For McQueen.

Saturday night was our first {of possibly more? hmm.} Mom's Can "Whine" Too Night!  It was pretty successful I think.  I had some awesome sponsors & was able to move ALL of my Independence Day dresses.  {Yah!}  As you may have guessed I wasn't able to do much wining.  As I was trying to stay focused on the "paper work" and sending out mass amounts of emails & paypal invoices when it was over.  Hosting a 2 hour event online is more work than one might think! 

 Sunday morning Jack wrote this list for me... it reads as you can plainly see -

Before our shopping list could be tackled we walked TWO miles around Shelly Lake.  Miss Emma was coming down with a cold & rode in the stroller the whole way.  Poor Girl.

By Sunday night we were all wore out from the weekend activities & Miss Emma was a little cuddle bug with me reading in the living room chair - couldn't help but grab a picture of her feet in her super cute "kimono slippers."

What I Wore Wednesday

Nope.  I am not wearing a BB&CP skirt.  

Still haven't had the time. 

Top:  Old Navy Top {Two Years Ago!}

Bottoms:  Dockers Capris in Brown.

 I even painted my toenails!  The camera won't even register how florescent these toes are!  {Think Posterboard - or Highlighter!!!}

Sweet Potato Hummus

Per Requests - 

1lb sweet potatoes (2 Large) cut 1 inch 
1 (15ounce) can chickpeas 
1/4cup lemon juice {FRESH!}
1/4cup Tahini 
2tbls Olive Oil
2tsps Cumin
1 Clove of Garlic  {ILOVEGARLIC}
Paprika - Just for garnish.


Steam Sweet Potatoes {I used my rice cookers steam basket.} About 15 Mins. Until tender.


Sweet Potatoes, chickpeas, lemon juice, tahini, oil, cumin & garlic all into a food processor for about 1 minute.  Thin with up to 2 tbls water if necessary. {I used about 1tbls.}

Cool in Refrigerator as it does taste better this way.  Keep in airtight container for up to one week.  Don't forget to garnish with a little paprika!  Pretty simple right?  Use with pita chips, tortillas or even better yet FRESH VEGGIES for the healthy of us!

Weekend RePlay

Not only was it the weekend - but it was Fathers Day Weekend.  {When did I decided it was a weekend affair?} Hmm.  Well Saturday we did some random shopping & browsed for basketball hoops.  Finally at the Super Walmart we were able to find one instock & worth buying.  $260 & two car trips later we had a giant box in our driveway.  Almost 100* outside & Mr. L is ripping this thing open & getting right to work.  {For future reference - Black + Sunshine = Burning Hot.}  While Mr. L worked away in the hot sun I was in & out of the house making Sweet Potato Hummus Dip & keeping everyone hydrated.  The kiddies splashed around in the hose.  Don't ya just love some summertime fun?

Four hours later we had a usable hoop in our driveway.  Yay.

Sunday {Fathers Day} we went to the trail for a picnic lunch.  Yumm.  One giant sub made by me, fruit & some of the sweet potato hummus dip.  Which by the way will be in the next post.  I am too lazy to go grab the recipe & get it all down for you guys.  Sorry. 

I also fit in time to catch up {again} on my customs.  This camera strap cover turned out great.  Feels good to have everything wrapped up.  What to do in the morning?  Hmm.  Probably just jinxed myself & will have lots of customs in my inbox when I wake up.  {One can hope?}  Bring 'em on. I {Love} Customs.

What I Wore Wednesday

 So I haven't done a WIWW in a bit.  I had big plans of making myself a ruffle skirt but ended up grabbing this old one I made out of the closet this morning.  Why?  Because I am swamped in orders and have no time to make myself something.  

{This is me not complaining!}  I love that I have a lot to do.  I mean there wouldn't be a BB&CP without work to do.  And a lot of work.  Even better.

Top:  White w/cream lace trim tank - Old Navy.

  Layered with a 3/4 length hoodie - Old Navy.

Bottoms:  Lace trimmed black leggings - Target

Layered with a skirt by ButterBeans&ChicPeas.  {Myself!}

My all time fave flats - have really lost there luster from Target.  Still Cute. {And Comfy.}

I am off to cut fabric.  Three dress & a Romper.  Here I come.

Weekend RePlay

Saturday we got up and went out to do the lovely shopping at Costco & Aldis.  99c strawberries & blueberries.  Cannot beat that. {Yumm.}  I cleaned the house a bit & cut fabric for some piggies.

Sunday Afternoon - We had The G Family over for a little backyard bbq.  Too funny to watch how excited the kiddies were.  "When will our guests be here?"  asked Jack - about a zillion and one times.  After our bbq we were off to feed the turtles & fish at the trail.  Of course some new books at the library. Even saw one of our favorite teachers, Mrs. Mitchell.   

 

 Back to the grind sewing machine today - finishing up & trying to stay caught up on orders in the shop.  Things have been so busy... looking forward to our "vacation" in a couple weeks.  Can't believe two weeks from now my kiddies will be 1st & 2nd graders.  {Woot.}  Time flies.

We didn't think we were going to go this year for Memorial Day - but a last minute call found a pet friendly room available, even with a river view.  We just love the Hilton - right on the Neuse River in New Bern, NC.  A short trip too!  After checking in & dropping off the Pug we were off to the beach for the afternoon.  What Fun!

So.  Seriously.  How cute is Miss Emma in her Sun Suit hanging out playing in the sand at the beach?  

She just loves that Momma made it for her.
