Weekend RePlay

After Thursdays nights loss & Cody not feeling well we weren't sure what to expect going into the Weekend for our FINAL Tournament.  Fortunately we had a productive day here at home Friday & Cody was feeling good & pumped for the game.  Wouldn't you know it - it rained & we were worried we may not play - but, they were able to clear the field of water & we won.

After a long drive home Friday night & since it was "Friday the 13th"  we had to squeeze in a Friday the 13th movie night with the littles.  Saturday morning everyone was up bright and early.  On the field at 9am & it was already way too hot out there.  Unfortunately our team lost & was out of the tournament.
Proud of our All Stars none the less.  Cody was on the first ever K'dale All Stars team.
Hopefully we can come back next year & do it again - but better.

Sunday we sat on the couch in attempt to clear our DVR box.  It worked.  - Almost. We are in the 70% remaining now.  Pretty good.  I think.  Also lots of grocery shopping.  We were out of - everything.

Throughout the weekend I was able to wrap up my newest pdf the lined tote.  It has 3 different size options & two options for the Large size.  Its amazing & is now in the early release testing phase - waiting on feedback from clients & then it will hit the shop.  Don't forget that all month of JULY is BOGO FREE {of equal or lesser value} on my PDF patterns.  Happy Shopping & Happy Sewing.
Hope you had a productive & awesome weekend.

No Bra - Not Ok.

Who was so brilliant as to make this the official "National No Bra Day?" Yes. You read right. There is in fact a day where you are allowed to run free, let your boobies hang & not get gawked at. ha. Just kidding about that last part. You will get gawked at.  For sure.  By men & especially women.  Judging you.  On all levels.
I have searched around trying to find this mad man, {I say man loosely of course} get serious -- It was probably a man who thought of this day.  I've read many an article & see many a happy woman about this fantastical day.  I am just not feeling it.  "...with the spell of unusually hot weather in the United States, National No Bra Day should bring opportunity for all women to be free, if only for just a day."  {taken from the digital journal} Um.  How about no.  Sweat on saggy boobs.  Eww.

I don't know about you.  But I am a mom of three & yes, I breasted each one of them & no I am not comfortable, in any sense of the word letting them flop.   Sometimes I might even double up.  A bra & a built in bra tank.  I don't like those puppies touching.  No way.  Its just not right.  I will not be par taking in the scandalous no bra day.  No Bra - Not Ok.

Weekend RePlay

Another weekend flew by.

Friday we decided to head over to a baseball game - The Mudcats vs The Red Sox & Fireworks after the game. The kids were disappointed that we didn't go on the fourth, so seemed like a perfect time to go.  Bad food, Baseball & Fireworks all in one night.  Its a win.

Saturday I actually "slept in."  I jumped out of bed, grabbed my coffee, shipped orders, returned emails & got right to the kitchen.  I had baking to do.  Mr. L's coworker invited us for dinner & requested I bake up some carrot cake.  I decided on muffins.  They turned out cute & tasted just as good.  Especially cold & for breakfast. hehe.   I had these pan liners, or so I thought - they turned out to be "No Muffin Pan Required" wrappers.  And, much to my surprise.  They freakin' work.  Um.  Cool.  Just place them on a cookie sheet & fill.  They are sturdy & baked evenly.  I might just have to get my hands on more of these.

Sunday we decided to go to the town pool.  It was 103* outside & the pool water wasn't much cooler.  But it felt good.  The kids had a lot of fun.  Emma informed me that it was "The Best Day. Ever."  I suppose from the eyes of a child, {or even me} Snowcones + Pool = Best Day Ever.   And then, top it all off with dinner out at the Hibachi Grill.  We all out so much that we proclaimed, we would never eat there again. ha.  That'll last.
