Another weekend flew by.
Friday we decided to head over to a baseball game - The Mudcats vs The Red Sox & Fireworks after the game. The kids were disappointed that we didn't go on the fourth, so seemed like a perfect time to go. Bad food, Baseball & Fireworks all in one night. Its a win.
Saturday I actually "slept in." I jumped out of bed, grabbed my coffee, shipped orders, returned emails & got right to the kitchen. I had baking to do. Mr. L's coworker invited us for dinner & requested I bake up some carrot cake. I decided on muffins. They turned out cute & tasted just as good. Especially cold & for breakfast. hehe. I had these pan liners, or so I thought - they turned out to be "No Muffin Pan Required" wrappers. And, much to my surprise. They freakin' work. Um. Cool. Just place them on a cookie sheet & fill. They are sturdy & baked evenly. I might just have to get my hands on more of these.
Sunday we decided to go to the town pool. It was 103* outside & the pool water wasn't much cooler. But it felt good. The kids had a lot of fun. Emma informed me that it was "The Best Day. Ever." I suppose from the eyes of a child, {or even me} Snowcones + Pool = Best Day Ever. And then, top it all off with dinner out at the Hibachi Grill. We all out so much that we proclaimed, we would never eat there again. ha. That'll last.
