Weekend RePlay

The weekend came & went, way too fast... as usual.  To start our weekend off... Friday night after school Codys friend, Jose came over to play.  He is for the most part a well behaved little boy so I don't really mind this.  He even plays with Jack & Emma. (Also might be the first other kid my little Princess Emma isn't afraid to talk to!)  Once I sent him back home  (just down the street) we went out to the priciest dinner we have had as a family of 5 in a long time. Buffalo Wild Wings. 3 Kids meals, a plate of nachos, 24 wings & $50 later we were stuffed.  This I might add is the first "unhealthy" meal we have had in awhile. (It was so good!)

Saturday morning I woke to find a custom order in my inbox so I sewed booties on Saturday evening.  During the day we went to the North Hills to check out the farmers market.  The North Hills is filled with upscale shops & a few dining options, also the cinema is there, the Renaissance & Golds Gym where Mr. L gets his swell on just about every morning.  I was able to get some fresh locally grown green beans (yum) for just 1.50 per pound. Also picked up some tasty cucumbers. Haven't ate them yet but I am pretty sure I will be adding them into my salad this afternoon.  Then after the farmers market we stopped into Costco seeing as earlier in the week I made the mistake of looking at the calendar of MAY not June, (yep, I am on top of things) and went shopping with coupons in hand just to get to the check out where they informed me my coupons weren't good for 3 more days!  FUCK ME!  I walked out with only the items that weren't coupon friendly.   So Saturday I was able to get my pita chips for $2.50 off & $4.00 off black bean burgers.
Our Saturday night dinner...

Yep I am pretty sure our Cody approves. :)  Also see the fresh green beans we picked up at the farmers market... tasty healthy Saturday night dinner.

Also on Saturday night the kids got to watch Jurassic Park with Daddy.  I suppose they enjoyed it... this is when I did my sewing... I didn't like the movie as a kid, pretty sure I wasn't going to like it now either.

Sunday morning I did the typical laundry, vacuuming, you know the fun things a mom just lives to do on a Sunday morning.  After cleaning up and getting the kids some lunch we headed out to dicks where Mr. L got some cycling shorts... because its his newest found thing he is into & wanted to spend way too much $$ on. $40 of them to be exact!  While Cody & Dad shopped for pricey cushiony shorts I took Jackie Beans & Princess Emma to TJMaxx.  I got something little for fathers day for Mr. L and found something cute for the home too...
Don't you just love this framed quilted like "Happiness is something we create" sign? It is so country cute for my country cute home.  I am thinking its cute to go near my sewing area... hmm...
& found some all natural wood floor cleaner at TJ Maxx too.
With 15 minutes until the Library opens we stopped and bought some happiness that someone at McD's created for us... Iced Coffees. YUM & got the new snack sized McFlurries for the kiddies. Um, they are HUGE for kids... they couldn't finish them before they were melting in there hands (100 degrees out didn't help.)  Three books each at the library like usual & I even grabbed myself TWO. Now, will I get to reading them? Very questionable. Last year I had set a goal to read 12 books.  I read 15.  This year I have read maybe 1, I started a few and couldn't get into them.  I spend my time reading sewing patterns and sewing instead.
To finish off the weekend right my Princess thought she would get in on the action... doing the dishes for me...
OH! & Sunday night was the start of the new season of TRUEBLOOD!
Yep, she is a GREAT helper, My Little Emma.
